The book has a major malfunction, almost whole chapter is printed wrong/missing.

The book is great... however, there is a missing chapter. When you get to chapter 25 the readings are not what is stated in the contents at the beginning of the book. This book is Volume 2 of a two book series. The readings go in chronological order. When you get to reading #169 (in chapter 25)Martin Luther King Jr., Letter from a Birmingham Jail the next reading is from reading #83 Hinton R. Helper (1857) instead of #170 The Sharon Statement (1960). This is messed up for the eight readings (170-177). These readings should have been in Volume 1, since this book starts at the year 1865 and goes to the year 2011. Pretty disappointing, since I needed a few of these readings for a research paper.

Required text for school, but will cherish it long past.

This was required reading for my American History class at college, but I have to say it was an easy to follow supplement to "Give Me Liberty!" by same author. I love to read but juggling two books for reading assignments for class has been a little tricky if you have to refer to this and Give Me Liberty! All in all, a very honest look at American History.

Stunning 5 star book that will leave you on the edge of your seat!

I'm struggling right now to come up with the most perfect word for this phenomenal book. This is definitely one of the few books where my mind has just been blown away. Bam-wham- gabush. It took my breath away! I am truly stunned by the greatness that is Michelle Horst! Those familiar with Michelle's work will be shocked at just how dark and dangerous this book really is. But even in the darkest parts of this book you find one of the most heart warming love stories I've seen written in a long time!

After Dark Boundaries, the story of the Macht family continues. Noah and Amy grew up as cousins. He's adopted. She's born into the family and she never lets him forget that. As they get older, their feud escalates. But after things said among friends gets taken in the wrong way, their lives unravel quicker than anyone could imagine.

Thrust into chaos, Amy and Noah must learn to survive tragedy, grow in their newfound love and respect for one another and overcome obstacles fate seems determined to throw in their way.

Read this book! It's a dark and twisted beautiful piece of literature you will not be able to put down and will leave you craving more Michelle. I'm a Michelle Horst addict and soon, you will be too!

What a rollercoaster ride this is. Not what I was expecting..Thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the storyline. This book follows on from Dark Boundaries and has all the same characters plus more. Love following Amy and Noah, love that they have a volatile love hate relationship. I was shocked at the violent turn of events that drew them apart, then together, then apart again.. Didn't see THAT coming! Just when you think things are starting to come together.....BAM, didn't see THAT coming either! It was a rollercoaster of suspense, love and drama that I thoroughly enjoyed. It has however left a few questions that I'm desperate to get answered. Book 3 is on its way......can't wait.

You hate her.
You hate being in the same room as you.
She's annoying.
You hate looking after her.
But you always do what your Mum and Dad tell you.
But you don't have to like it.
And you don't.
She gets under your skin.
And she's so cruel, so terribly cruel, always reminding you that you will never be really family.
Your parents will never really be your parents.
You will never really belong.
You don't care that she is only eight years old.
You despise her.

She's your cousin Amy.

You have always known that you were adopted, but Amy always reminding you of that fact since you were a little boy stays with you. It eats you from the inside out. You have nothing but pure hate for her, and now in adulthood, you will always make sure that you get under her skin and pay her back for all the hurt she caused you all those years a go.

But what happens when it all goes wrong?
What happens when Amy is threatened and you don't believe a word she says?
What happens when you take her words and throw them back at her because you want her to hurt?

Amy is taken.
Kidnapped.
Held against her will.
Not knowing if she will survive her capture or not all Amy can do is pray that she will survive this?
All she can hope for is that Noah will believe her and save her.

Will Amy be saved?
Will Noah realise that Amy was telling the truth?
Will Noah ever get the chance to tell Amy his sorry?
Or will Noah be too late?

You will just have to read this amazing novella to find out.

Like Dark Boundaries, we absolutely loved this novella. It's tells the story of Kristine and Garrett's daughter Amy and Justin and Riz's son Noah that we meet in the first novel. We get to see the old characters from the first novel, but primarily this novel is about both Amy and Noah. It's about their hatred for each other, and what consequences lay ahead of them both when blinded by hate and desire for payback. It's about their trust and desire and need for each other when the hatred blinkers are taken off. It's about love finding it's way in the unlikeness of places.

Again it's dark, griity and at times highly confronting emotionally, but well worth the read.

Michelle Horst has yet again produced another spectacular read with Cruel Boundaries that will eave you wanting more. And we definitely want more.

A definite 5 star read.

Tired of The Same, Worn-Out Sales Training? As President of Caskey Achievement Strategies, I've had the opportunity to coach, train, and speak to over 10,000 Sales Professionals and Executives, and I've personally given over 3,000 workshops. I've seen people come through our programs, learn our method, learn about psychology, learn about human behavior and about themselves, and go to the market place and blow the lid off of their revenue and income numbers. And they would have no trouble eating the big guys for lunch with whom they were competing.

After graduating DePauw University in 1978, I spent a great deal of time watching weak, almost sad sales approaches and tactics being used by what you and I would consider Top Flight companies. I watched these people and their selling approaches-then I would look at the training they were getting and the books that most of corporate America was reading, and it became apparent that as a society, we aren't teaching much value to today's sales force. A lot of sales wisdom in this sales book.

I've been in B2b sales for over 30 years. This book and CD have some great ideas that really help the "Inner Game" to really improve our mind set.
I have read this book three times already and I keep getting more proven wisdom.This book is a well kept secret and I recommend you read this book at least twice. It also has some great language suggestions that are very well thought out.

Account management for results

Many of the sales 'How to' books on the market are formula based and would like you to think selling was simply a matter of memorizing the right phrases and smiling at the right times. I found Mr. Cakey's book, Same Game, New Rules to be refreshing and from my experience exactly on target for developing the right thought processes for account management in today's fast paced and competitive marketplace. This isn't a book on just making a sale. It's about doing the right things for both your company and your customer. This means profit for your business (not just low margin sales revenue) and a customer that recognizes the 'value proposition' your organization brings over your competition. Logically organized and well written.
